The maximum fare has increased on Kaudiram and Sahjanwa routes. Earlier the maximum fare on this route was Rs 37, but in June it increased to Rs 41. But now it has once again been increased to Rs 50, that is, the bus fare has increased by Rs 13 in 6 months.

On the instructions of the government, the fares of electric buses were increased only six months ago. Now the government has increased the fare again by converting it into round figure. The Bus Steering Committee has also fixed the increased fare. The fare up to 6 kilometers has increased from Rs 16 to Rs 20. The fare for 11 kilometers has become Rs 25. In such a situation, experts say that fares have increased in round figures only in Gorakhpur. Mahendra Chand, Chief Executive Officer of Electric Bus Steering Committee, says that the fare has been fixed in round figure.

Accident insurance of Re 1 is also included in the bus fare. At present 25 electric buses are operating on various routes of the metropolis. Every day about 10 thousand people travel by electric buses. There is a plan to run 100 buses. 25 new buses will be available soon. Which will provide more convenience to the passengers. If we consider the increase in the fare of electric buses, then increasing the fare twice in a year will have an impact on the pockets of the passengers traveling by bus, due to which they will have to face problems.
