Gorakhpur News Outpost incharge in Gorakhpur usurped Rs 50 lakh from hawala, suspended

Gorakhpur: Gorakhpur’s Beniganj (Gorakhpur News) outpost incharge Alok Singh has been suspended in the case of embezzling Rs 50 lakh through Hawala money. During checking, the outpost in-charge had caught a businessman with Rs 85 lakh of hawala. Seeing so much money, tax inspector Alok Singh’s intentions got spoiled. He kept Rs 50 lakh for himself and sent the businessman away after giving Rs 35 lakh. When the businessman protested, he also threatened an encounter. When the news of this matter reached the SSP, he suspended the outpost in-charge and raided his residence. Police recovered Rs 44 lakh from the inspector’s house.

Nautanwa was going to give money
It is being told that (Gorakhpur News) a businessman associated with the hawala business had come out from Deoria with Rs 85 lakh to give it to someone in Nautanwa. When the police got information about this, the businessman was stopped for investigation. After the money was recovered from the car, the Inspector released the businessman after paying Rs 50 lakh without informing the higher officials. When police officers came to know about this, interrogation started. Inspector Alok Singh told the officers that a call had been received from some influential person to release the businessman. That is why information was not given to any officer. Alok Singh could not give correct information in the case of embezzlement of Rs 50 lakh.

Rs 44 lakh recovered from the house
When the inspector’s house was raided to recover the money, Rs 44 lakh was recovered. After this, SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover has suspended Alok Singh. SP City Krishna Kumar Bishnoi is investigating the entire matter. The SSP says that the post in-charge has been suspended for negligence in duty. The case of taking hawala money and releasing the accused is being investigated.
