Government increasing sports resources and activities
CM Yogi said that the government has taken many steps to increase sports resources and activities in the state. Under this, playgrounds and open gyms are being developed in every village. The construction of the state’s first world class sports university in the name of Major Dhyan Chand in Meerut is being done on a war footing.

CM Yogi said that to encourage the players, the state government is giving them government jobs along with ample funds. Many coaches have been appointed at a monthly honorarium of Rs 1.5 lakh. Help is also being given to the players from the Eklavya Sports Fund. He said that the players of the state who participate and win medals in the Olympics, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championship are being given ample prize money, at the international level Medal winners are being appointed to gazetted posts. 500 players have been appointed in the state.
