The way seems to be clear for Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University to get Rs 100 crore under the PM Usha (Prime Minister Higher Education Mission) of the Union Higher Education Ministry. The university has made its place among those four universities of the state. Who can get this amount as a grant. Under PM Usha, a grant of Rs 100 crore is to be issued to 35 state universities of the country and Rs 20 crore each to 75 universities. Under the guidance of former Vice Chancellor Professor Rajesh Singh, Gorakhpur University had applied in both the categories. In the list of four top universities, after Gorakhpur University and Lucknow University, the other two universities are Meerut and Rohilkhand.
Hope increased after QS ranking
Gorakhpur University’s claim is the strongest due to getting the plus-plus grade of NAAC with the highest CGPA. Under the guidance of former Vice Chancellor Professor Rajesh Singh, the university had applied in both the categories. After getting A+-Plus Great from NAAC, the university There was hope for a place in the list of universities receiving administration grants. After making it to the QS South Asian ranking, its hopes have increased even more. This hope was fulfilled when the university got success in securing second position among the top four universities of the state.
With this, the hope of Gorakhpur University being included in the list of 35 universities of the country seems to be turning into reality. Who are to get a grant of Rs 100 crore.
