The wedding procession was returning from Danda to Lalgarh.

According to the information, the marriage procession was returning to Lalgarh after applying tilak with a stick. While crossing the railway crossing, the Bolero car got stuck in the railway track. Even after a lot of struggle the car could not get out. Meanwhile, a goods train from Daltenganj of Palamu arrived on the same track. Seeing the goods train, everyone including the driver ran away.

The accident occurred despite applying emergency brakes

The driver of the goods train applied emergency brakes after seeing the car stuck on the railway track, but even after stopping, the goods train collided with the car. The car was badly damaged. The damaged car is said to belong to Anil Gupta of Garhwa district. According to the villagers, the driver of the car was drunk. That’s why the car got stuck in the railway track.

Despite prohibition, many vehicles pass every day

Villagers told that many vehicles pass through there every day. However, there is no approved crossing there. Even after prohibition, vehicles cross the railway line from there. In the year 2008 also, a tractor collided with Palamu Express while crossing the railway line. Even then a major accident was still averted.

The accident happened early in the morning

RPF Inspector Banarasi Yadav said that the incident occurred at 3:45 am on Wednesday. The line was cleared at 7:45. The train was so badly stuck in the main track that to clear the line, the up line had to be blocked from 6:20 to 6:50 and the down line had to be blocked from 7 to 7:25. Only then did traffic start on all three lines. He said that an FIR has been registered in this matter and further action is being taken.
