Good News for Railway Passengers: DRM of Chakradharpur Railway Division, Arun Jatoh Rathod enumerated the achievements of various departments of Chakradharpur Railway Division. He said that Indian Railways is being modernized rapidly. Work is underway on an ambitious project to end the waiting list of passengers. At an average of 16 km per day, the work of laying about 5,500 to 6,000 km of new tracks will be completed by the end of this financial year. Shri Rathore said that Chakradharpur Railway Division has transported 108.62 million tonnes of goods till December of the current financial year 2023-24.
Railway Board achieved record freight traffic
The Railway Board has achieved a record of 2.18 percent more freight traffic as compared to the same period last year. Earned Rs 9677.07 crore from freight transportation, which is 2.68 percent more than last year’s income. The stations are being beautified under Amrit Bharat Yojana. This includes many stations of Chakradharpur railway division. On this occasion, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Dr. Rishabh Sinha, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Gajraj Singh Charan, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Subrata Mishra and Divisional Convenor of Men’s Union MK Singh etc. were present.
Speed increased from 80 to 110 km per hour
Sectional speed increased from 80 to 110 km per hour on 2.25 km track between Bandamunda Link B to Bangurkela section, Sectional speed increased from 50 to 75 km per hour on 98.178 km track between Tata-Gorumhisani and Anlajodi-Badampahar, Anlajodi-Gorumhisani and Anlajodi. -The speed was increased from 15 to 30 km per hour on 44.3 km track on the first loop line between Badampahar section.
Achievements of Railway Board
The average daily loading was 5635 wagons, which is 1.40 percent more than last year. Till December, revenue of about Rs 13.26 crore was received from ticket checking. -Rail coach restaurants were awarded at Tatanagar, Rourkela, Chaibasa, Adityapur and Govindpur, five level crossing gates were closed and 5 will be closed soon, new foot overpasses were commissioned at Nuwagaon, Sagara, Ghaghra, Panpali H and Govindpur. Bridge, monthly family pension of Rs 4.5 crore was given to the families of 200 deceased railway employees, social security was provided to the families of the employees covered under New Pension Scheme (NPS), a new running room of 30 beds was built in Sardega, electricity ( TRD)- Electrification of 58.832 track km OHE, Computer Control Brake System test developed at Rourkela Loco Shed, Electronic Interlocking commissioned at Bandamunda Link C, Nuwagaon, Rourkela, Asanbani, Salgazari East, Jaroli and Jaroli-A, 9 stations GPS platform clock installed in Mandal Railway Hospital, Chakradharpur blood bank will open soon.
South-Eastern Railways installed additional bogies in 10 pairs of trains.
South Eastern Railway has added one additional bogie each in 10 pairs of trains. Under this, Ranchi-Ara and Ara-Ranchi will be closed from February 1 to April 30, Ranchi Godda from February 1 to May 1, Ranchi Godda Intercity from February 1 to May 1, Sambaleshwari-Howrah-Jagdalpur Up and Down from February 1 to May 1. One bogie each has been added in the up and down trains of Howrah-Kantabaji Ispat Express, Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Express, Tata-Ara, Rourkela Jaynagar, Rourkela Jagdalpur Intercity, Rourkela Gunipur Rajyarani Express.
