Good News: Electricity will be cheaper by 43 paise per unit in UP, UPPCL sent proposal to Electricity Regulatory Commission.

Lucknow : Crores of electricity consumers of UP are going to get big relief. UPPCL has sent a proposal to the Regulatory Commission to reduce electricity rates. To provide relief to various categories of electricity consumers before the Lok Sabha elections, the government will have to bear the financial burden of about Rs 1055 crore. UPPCL has proposed to reduce electricity rates for both domestic and commercial consumers. To reduce electricity rates in UP before the Lok Sabha elections, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL) has sent a proposal to the Regulatory Commission, in which it has been said that the fuel surcharge will be reduced from 18 to 38 paise. There will be a reduction of 18 paise/unit in the bill of domestic BPL consumer. There will be a relief of 26 to 43 paise per unit in the bill of an ordinary consumer. Farmers have been proposed to reduce the electricity bill of their tube well by 13 to 30 paise per unit. Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL) has decided to provide relief to commercial electricity consumers. There is a proposal to reduce commercial electricity bills by 34 to 38 paise per unit. It has been said that relief of 33 to 38 paise per unit will be given in the bills of consumers related to heavy industry.
