Check dam being built in Tutijharna at a cost of Rs 8 lakh
The check dam is being constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 8 lakh under the guidance of Bokaro DFO Rajneesh Kumar. After the check dam is built, the villagers of Tutijharna will not have to face shortage of drinking water. Irrigation of surrounding fallow land will also be possible. Let it be known that Tutijharna is a Santal dominated village.
Water did not come out from the well built under MNREGA
In this village, wells were constructed at some places under MNREGA in Gomiya block, but no water came out of them. The women of the village are forced to travel a distance of about one kilometer through a forested path to Deoghar drain to fetch water. There is a danger of wild animals and snakes while going to the mountain through the forest path. Women remain scared.
Bokaro DFO Rajneesh Kumar took the initiative to build a check dam.
When BollywoodWallah (prabhatkhabar.com) published a news in this regard on 26 May 2023, the people of the administration became active. DFO Rajneesh Kumar took cognizance of the matter and took the initiative to construct a check dam at that place. Corresponded with senior officials and played an important role in getting approval for the construction of the dam.

Additional Chief Conservator of Forests Sanjeev Kumar approved the construction of check dam in Deoghar drain. Besides, consent was also given on the construction of check dam in Loa Dadi of Birhor Dera, a Santal dominated village of Siyari Panchayat. He also said that after the completion of the construction work of both the check dams, he will personally go to inspect them.
