Spot silver rose 0.2 percent to $24.71 an ounce, platinum rose 1 percent to $902.60 and palladium rose 1.4 percent to $999.79.

Gold also fell in futures trading

The market is closed today due to Holi holiday. However, amid weak spot demand on Friday, speculators reduced the size of their deals due to which the price of gold fell by Rs 292 to Rs 65,907 per 10 grams in futures trade on Friday. In the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of the contract for supply in the month of April fell by Rs 292, or 0.43 percent, to Rs 65,907 per 10 grams. 9,723 lots were traded in this. Market analysts said gold futures prices fell due to weak global cues. Globally, gold fell 0.77 percent to $ 2,189.80 an ounce in New York.
