Here, in recent times, a large number of bike riders have died in road accidents. Recently the number of people dying in road accidents had reduced. Last month till October, the number of deaths in road accidents was seen high in Mahagama sub-division area. The number of deaths was less in the district headquarters compared to Mahagama sub-division. In recent times the pace has increased again. Most of the cases were found to be either drunk driving or speeding. However, this year there have been less number of deaths in road accidents in the district compared to last year. If we look at the figures of the last two years, the speed has decreased, which will become clear from the information received from the department.
