Every day, five to eight women are given birth. Women are sterilized four times a month. ANC test of pregnant women is done in the hospital every 9th of the month. The treatment is being done by a male doctor. A grade nurses work under their consultation. On the other hand, 8 to 10 patients often remain under treatment in this hospital. The number of health sub-centres is 11. Instead of five doctors, only one doctor is working in the hospital. There are A-grade nurses, but there is a huge shortage of ANMs. Only 15 are employed instead of 22. There is no facility for CT scan here. When people need it, they have to travel a distance of 70 kilometers to Godda or a distance of 75 kilometers to Bhagalpur, Bihar. Especially the patients in tribal dominated areas have to face problems. People of the tribal community say that they are forced to take help from the village doctor. The hospital has a building worth crores, but lacks facilities.
