An increase in suicide cases is being seen in Godda district. Even before this, there have been two cases of suicide in Mahagama. In both the cases, the married woman committed suicide by hanging herself. The third and fourth cases were of Pathargama. In both the cases in Pathargama, the married woman committed suicide by hanging herself. One case was from October, while the other case is from recent days in November. The fifth case was of Kurmichak village of Mufassil police station area. In this too, a class nine student had committed suicide by consuming poison. The sixth case took place in Basantarai, in which a minor lost his life by hanging himself. Both the seventh and eighth cases were of Podaiyahat police station area. In one incident, a young man lost his life by hanging from a street electric pole. On Wednesday, the girl again committed suicide by consuming poison. The reason for the gradual increase is that in most of these types of cases, no counseling is being done at the home level. Secondly, due to poor educational environment at home, incidents of domestic violence take place. Due to fear, the minor chooses the path of suicide.
