Mrinal Kumar, Giridih: Giridih police has arrested four accused in the robbery case at the house of Khassi businessman Hemlal Mandal. The arrested accused include Mithlesh Mandal, resident of Gandey police station area, Munna Prasad Verma of Taratand police station area, Sabir Ansari of Pandedih of Gandey police station area and Kishore Sao alias Pahuna of Gandhinagar. One lakh 3500 rupees in cash, two bikes and mobile phones have been recovered from all of them.
In this regard, Giridih SP Deepak Kumar Sharma said that the accused had committed robbery of Rs 5 lakh in cash and gold jewelery from the house of Sabiya Devi, resident of Nawada village of Taratand police station area. After this, the victim’s family applied to the police station and requested for an FIR to be registered.

After the case was registered, a raid team was formed under the leadership of SDPO Sadar Vinod Ravani. Inspector Kamal Khan of Gandey, Taratand police station in-charge Mukesh Pandit, Ahilyapur police station in-charge Jitendra Singh Bisht, Gandey police station in-charge Raghunath Singh, Puani Sushant Kumar Chiranjvi etc. were included in the team. The team raided different areas and arrested all four criminals.
Mithilesh Mandal is the mastermind of the crime
Giridih SP Deepak Kumar Sharma said that the mastermind of this robbery case is Mithlesh Mandal of Margodih, Gandey. Mithilesh Mandal has previously worked as an area commander in the CPI Maoist Naxalite organization. There are 19 criminal cases registered against him in different police stations. During interrogation, Mithilesh Mandal admitted his involvement in this robbery incident.
What is the whole matter:
Actually the matter is that on the night of March 19, about a dozen miscreants wearing masks attacked Hemlal Mandal’s house. The accused locked his wife and children in a room, created a ruckus for about two hours, and looted Rs 5 lakh in cash, gold jewelery and other items and ran away.
