Ghosi By Election Result: Dara Singh in a bad situation, getting ministerial post went away and even the legislature went away, this is how Sudhakar Singh got burdened.

Ghosi By Election Result: The results of Ghosi assembly seat of Mau district in Uttar Pradesh have given a huge blow to the ruling party. BJP’s defeat on this seat in the assembly elections held a year ago continued in the by-elections as well. Party candidate Dara Singh Chauhan failed to save his seat and SP candidate Sudhakar Singh snatched it from him. With this victory, opposition leaders including Samajwadi Party are very excited, while there is disappointment in the BJP camp.

Akhilesh said that the people have defeated the BJP by fifty thousand.

SP candidate Sudhakar Singh defeated BJP’s Dara Singh Chauhan by 42276 votes. Sudhakar Singh got 124295 votes. Party President Akhilesh Yadav congratulated the people of Ghosi on the victory of Sudhakar Singh. He said that the people of Ghosi have defeated BJP by ‘fifty thousand’. This is not only a political but also a moral defeat for the BJP. The party said in a tweet that heartfelt gratitude to the great people of Ghosi for the landslide victory of SP candidate Sudhakar Singh in the assembly by-election. Thanks to each worker, booth and sector in-charge of the Samajwadi Party and also to all those leaders who contributed in this victory.

Omprakash Rajbhar said that the proof of correctness of EVM

SubhaSP chief Omprakash Rajbhar, who was claiming BJP’s victory till a few hours before the counting of votes, also reacted to this. He said that we welcome the decision of the people of Ghomeshi. When the opposition loses, they blame the EVM. But, now it has become a proof that EVM is correct. RLD President Chaudhary Jayant Singh has also thanked the people of Ghosi by tweeting. He also wrote that congratulations to Ghosi candidate Sudhakar Singh and Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav.

Stitching of growth started with postal ballot

With the counting of postal ballots in Ghosi assembly seat, SP candidate Sudhakar Singh maintained his lead. After this, the process of his rise continued with the counting of votes from EVM. The way the claims were being made by Dara Singh Chauhan, it is clear from the results of the polls that he failed to read the mind of the public. When he won against Dara Singh Chauhan as SP candidate in the assembly elections, the public expressed full confidence in him.

Dara Singh Chauhan came into limelight after meeting Amit Shah

After this, suddenly when Dara Singh Chauhan met Amit Shah in the past, the political equation was seen changing. Along with resigning from his seat, Dara Singh Chauhan also resigned from the Samajwadi Party. He also made many allegations against SP. This was considered a blow to the SP and especially to Akhilesh Yadav, because when Dara Singh Chauhan left the BJP and joined the SP during the assembly elections, the party took a dig at the ruling party by promoting it a lot.

Voters did not like Dara Singh Chauhan’s move

Since then, there was a possibility that Dara Singh Chauhan would again enter the political arena, but this time as a BJP candidate. He was sure that he would retain this seat. But, the public did not like Dara Singh Chauhan’s sudden resignation from Ghosi assembly seat without any reason and then joining BJP. His opposition to this also increased a lot. However, claims of victory continued to be made on the strength of BJP’s strength and election campaign.

BJP’s changed strategy also did not work

According to political analysts, even the BJP strategists had understood this thing from within. Therefore, in the last days of the election campaign, instead of Dara Singh Chauhan, votes were sought in the name of BJP leadership. The party tried its best to attract voters in the name of work and development of the Central and Uttar Pradesh governments. However, the displeasure over Dara Singh Chauhan was overwhelming and finally he had to face defeat.

Sudhakar Singh has been MLA twice

SP candidate Sudhakar Singh has been MLA twice before. He became MLA from Nathupur assembly seat in the year 1996. After delimitation, the name of this seat was changed to Ghosi. Sudhakar Singh won from here in 2012 elections also. In the 2017 elections, SP once again gave ticket to Sudhakar Singh. But then BJP candidate Fagu Singh Chauhan defeated him. Sudhakar Singh was also defeated in the by-election held on this seat in the year 2020.

Dara Singh Chauhan left BJP and joined SP in 2022 elections

In the 2022 elections, the party fielded the then cabinet minister Dara Singh Chauhan, who left BJP and joined SP, from here and he registered victory. Recently Dara Singh Chauhan resigned from his assembly membership and joined BJP. If we look at the 2022 election results of Ghosi assembly seat, Dara Singh Chauhan had won by getting 108430 votes. But, BJP chased him to a great extent. BSP’s Wasim Iqbal was at third place with 54 thousand votes.

Omprakash Rajbhar’s efforts did not work

If we look at the political equation on the Ghosi assembly seat, the challenge before the SP was to retain its hold on this seat. The number of Rajbhar voters is more in this assembly constituency. Last time in 2022, Subhaspa President Omprakash Rajbhar was with SP. This time he has joined NDA. In such a situation, the by-election was considered difficult. Omprakash Rajbhar also held a meeting in favor of Dara Singh Chauhan. But, these efforts did not work.

SP claims to become the biggest face of opposition in UP

Voters of nonia caste of Dara Singh Chauhan are also considered to be in a decisive role here. SP tried to prove itself strong from here despite being left with Dara Singh Chauhan and Omprakash Rajbhar, so that it could prove itself as a strong pillar in the INDIA vs NDA fight before the Lok Sabha elections. After being successful in this endeavour, she will now be able to further strengthen her claim to prove herself number one in UP among constituent parties of INDIA.

There was a fight for prestige for BJP

On the other hand, this seat was also a matter of prestige for BJP. The way she is claiming to win all the seats in UP in the Lok Sabha elections under Mission 80, it was necessary that her candidate should defeat the opposition candidate by a huge margin in the by-elections. Through this, the saffron camp had a strategy to claim its strength and strength in Purvanchal. However this plan could not succeed. As of now, the opposition has the upper hand in this battle of INDIA vs NDA.

Leave aside the ministerial post, even the legislature has gone away.

If Dara Singh Chauhan was successful in repeating the charisma of 2022, then it was considered certain that he would become a minister in the Yogi government. But, with this defeat, not only has BJP’s plan failed in Purvanchal, but Dara Singh Chauhan has also suffered a severe blow. Leaving aside the post of minister, he also lost his legislative power.

Political journey of Dara Singh Chauhan

If we look at the political history of Dara Singh Chauhan, from 1996 to 2022, Dara Singh Chauhan has been connecting and breaking relations with BSP to SP and BJP, seeing time and opportunity. This was the first time that after parting ways with a party, he again joined hands so quickly. Just before the 2022 elections, Dara Chauhan joined the SP after parting ways with the BJP. However, Akhilesh’s government could not be formed, so he immediately changed tactics and returned to the BJP.

If seen, the Mau district of Purvanchal and the election season here is not a new thing for Dara Singh Chauhan. For the first time in 2009, he has won the election from Ghosi Lok Sabha seat of Mau district on BSP ticket. In 2017, he became a minister in the previous Yogi government after winning the assembly elections from the neighboring Madhuban assembly seat of Ghosi on a BJP ticket. Then in 2022, he won from Ghosi assembly on SP ticket. It was the first time that he contested the assembly elections in Mau district again on the ticket of any party.

Equations changed in political field

Ghosi’s electoral ground was the same in front of Dara Singh Chauhan, but the challenge had completely changed. In 2022, he had won on SP ticket by defeating BJP’s Vijay Rajbhar by 22 thousand votes, but this time he had to face defeat on BJP ticket.

SP’s dominance on the assembly seats of Mau district

If we talk about Mau district, the SP is still dominating the four assembly seats here. Ghosi and Mohammadabad Gohna seats came in SP’s account in 2022. Mau Sadar seat was won by Abbas Ansari, son of Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari on Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) ticket. BJP had won the Madhuban assembly seat. With Ghosi’s victory, SP has maintained its number of assembly seats.

BJP failed to turn caste equation in its favor

Talking about Ghosi assembly seat, Muslims have the highest number of votes here. Shias are 45 and Sunni are 35 thousand i.e. total 80 thousand. At second place are Mallah voters with the number of 70 thousand. Dalits come at third place, whose votes are around 60 thousand. The community from which Dara Singh Chauhan comes is Nonia Chauhan voter. Their number is 45 thousand. Apart from this, BJP has been getting votes here throughout the year. Therefore, both BJP and SP had their eyes on 35 thousand Rajbhar voters. However, BJP failed to turn the caste equation in its favor.

If seen, the battle of Dara Singh Chauhan was not easy from the first day. His biggest challenge was to strongly counter the SP’s Yadav and Muslim equation. These two communities get almost 100 percent votes. In such a situation, Dara Singh Chauhan needed a big margin to win. But, he was not successful in doing so. They also did not get the benefit of not fielding BSP candidates.
