Thursday was the last day of nomination for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. On Thursday, candidates of NDA and Grand Alliance also filed their nominations for Gaya parliamentary seat. Jitan Ram Manjhi from HAM Party filed his nomination for NDA, while RJD candidate Kumar Sarvjeet filed his nomination for Grand Alliance.

NDA candidate Jitan Ram Manjhi and Grand Alliance RJD candidate Kumar Sarvjeet filed their nomination papers for Gaya parliamentary seat on Thursday. Public meetings were also organized by both the camps. RJD candidate Kumar Sarvjeet reached the collectorate along with RJD candidate from Jehanabad Dr. Surendra Prasad Yadav and filed his nomination.

During nomination, RJD candidate Kumar Sarvjit said that we thank the people of Gaya of all castes and religions. His blessings are with us. He said that after centuries, a candidate has been found from the RJD party, who will work to take the city of Lord Vishnu and Buddha forward. Kumar Sarvjeet expressed confidence of getting the blessings of the public.

On the eve of nomination, the Grand Alliance candidate told the media that he will go to the public temple from Thursday. Who is Kumar Sarvjeet?
RJD has made Kumar Sarvjeet its candidate from Gaya. Kumar Sarvjeet is known for his bright and friendly nature. He has studied engineering. His father has been the MP of Gaya. After the murder of MP Rajesh Kumar, Sarvjeet entered the political arena on LJP ticket in the 2009 by-election and became the MLA of Bodh Gaya. He won the assembly elections in 2015 and 2020 and was the Minister of Tourism and Agriculture in the grand alliance government formed with JDU.
