Bareilly : A gas cylinder leaked while cooking in Azamnagar of Kotwali police station area of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. With the help of its regulator, a fire broke out in the room of the house. Due to which the son and daughter sleeping in the room got scorched by the fire. He was admitted to the district hospital for treatment. However, the doctor declared the son dead, while the condition of the daughter is critical. There was chaos in the family due to this accident. The mother of the deceased child is in bad condition by crying. Eid preparations were going on at home. Due to Eid after four days, new clothes of the children had also been bought. But, after the accident, the happiness of Eid has turned into mourning. The fire brigade team was able to control the fire after a lot of difficulty. Shadab, a resident of Azamnagar Jogian in the city, told that on Sunday his wife Samreen was cooking in the room.
The fire started due to gas leak from the regulator of the cylinder.
During this, son Shekhu (7 years) and daughter Arina (12 years) were also in the room. Both of them fell asleep while watching TV. Suddenly gas leaked from the regulator of the gas cylinder. In no time the fire spread in the room. The fire took a formidable form in no time. Both the children were sleeping in the room. Both of them came in the grip of fire. Hearing the screams of the wife, a large crowd of people gathered. He informed the police, and the fire brigade. Along with extinguishing the fire, the fire brigade and the police took out both the children trapped in the room. But, by then both were scorched by the fire. The police admitted both to the district hospital. The doctor here declared Shekhu dead, whereas, the girl is being treated. The fire brigade team had to call two vehicles. After this the fire could be controlled.
There was chaos after seeing the flames
On information about the incident, a heavy police force along with CO Shweta Yadav reached the spot. Shadab told that the daughter’s eyes opened due to the heat of the fire. She climbed the slip (up). Hence less scorching. However, the son was trapped in the fire. That’s why he died. A fire broke out in the godown of a flour mill in Baradari police station area of the city. Seeing the flames, there was chaos. A large number of people reached. He informed the fire brigade. Five fire brigade vehicles had to be called. After this the fire could be controlled.
