Ankit Gulia, the ‘sharpshooter’ of the Gogi-Deepak ‘Boxer’ gang, allegedly killed Gupta. Deepak claimed responsibility for Gupta’s murder on Facebook, saying he was killed because of his proximity to the rival Tillu gang. They suspected that Gupta had tipped off the police about Fajja, who was killed in an encounter in 2021. Deepak was running the ‘Gogi gang’ after the murder of gangster Jitendra Mann alias Gogi at the Rohini court complex in Delhi . Gogi was shot dead on 24 September 2021 by two assailants. The attackers were also killed in retaliatory action by the police.

Deepak came into the limelight when Gogi was freed from police custody.
