Sunny Deol’s much-awaited sequel Gadar 2 released in theaters on August 11 and became a resounding success at the box office. It broke many records at the box office.
Fans liked the onscreen pairing of Tara Singh and Sakina very much, whether it was the hand pump scene or the hammer scene. The audience in the theaters whistled loudly at all.
However, the performance of Gadar 2 declined after the release of Shahrukh Khan’s blockbuster, Jawan. Its popularity has continued to decline in recent times. But, once again the collection of the movie increased over the weekend.
The film directed by Anil Sharma earned around Rs 1 crore on the 38th day. After which the total collection has become 519 crores.
Meanwhile, the young man has been unstoppable. This action film remains strong even in its second week. It is soon going to cross the Rs 500 crore mark.
Gadar 2 has been stalling at the box office for almost a month. The film had earned Rs 23 crore on the first weekend. It earned Rs 8 crore on the second week, Rs 7 crore on the third weekend and Rs 1 crore on the fourth.
Many fans want to watch Gadar 2 again, there is good news for them, because this movie is going to come on OTT soon. According to OTT Play, ‘Gadar 2’ is scheduled to premiere on ZEE5 on October 6, 2023.
This film is the sequel to ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ released in 2001. Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel reprise their roles as Tara Singh and Sakina respectively in the second installment. The period action drama also stars Utkarsh Sharma.
In Gadar 2, Tara Singh goes to Pakistan to save his son Jeeta and entertains the audience with tremendous action sequences.
