G20 Summit: Delhi is fully prepared for the G20 summit, LG took stock of the preparations.

To reduce inconvenience to the public, they reached the spot in two mini buses to visit important places. Officials visited Bharat Mandapam. Bharat Mandapam is the main conference center where the G20 group meetings will be held. Officials said that apart from this, top officials also visited Palam Technical Area and some areas around the area from where the foreign delegates will travel.

Bus movement will remain closed in Lutyens Delhi during G20 summit

Delhi Traffic Police advised people to use metro to travel in Lutyens’ Delhi during the two-day G20 summit. In view of the conference, movement of buses will be restricted in this area. This order of ban will remain in force from midnight of 7th September to midnight of 10th September. Special Commissioner of Traffic Police SS Yadav said that there will be no impact on the movement of ambulances or essential services. Although there will be a ban on the operation of buses in the New Delhi area, there will be no restriction on the Delhi Metro. The public is advised to use the Metro to travel to and from their destinations. He said, people coming from Delhi airport to Lutyens Delhi will be allowed entry only after proper verification of identity cards.

10 thousand police personnel deployed for traffic management

During the summit to be held in Delhi, 10,000 police personnel will be deployed to ensure uninterrupted traffic in the city.

Cleaning of more than 11 thousand sensitive places in Delhi due to garbage dumping: Mayor

The Delhi civic body has identified and cleaned over 11,000 vulnerable garbage dumping sites and is also carrying out anti-larva spraying in all wards in view of preparations for the G20 summit. Delhi Mayor Shaili Oberoi said teams have been formed to clean posh hotels, tourist attractions and areas adjacent to the city’s airport. He said that the national capital Delhi is ready to welcome guests for the summit. Oberoi said that 11,200-11,300 sensitive places for dumping of garbage were identified and cleaned and now those places are being beautified.
