100 units of electricity free every month
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot gave this information on social media. He wrote on his Twitter wall that families who consume up to 100 units of electricity every month will also be given the first 100 units of electricity free of cost, that is, no matter how much the bill comes, they will not have to pay any electricity charges for the first 100 units. Let us discuss here that the state government has already made ‘zero’ the electricity bill of those consuming electricity up to 100 units per month. According to Gehlot, he will not have to pay any bill as before.
Fixed fee, fuel surcharge and all other charges will be waived
CM Gehlot of Rajasthan tweeted that keeping in mind the middle class people, first 100 units of electricity will be given free of cost to the consumers consuming up to 200 units per month, along with waiving of fixed charges, fuel surcharge and all other charges up to 200 units. and will be paid by the State Government. He wrote that after observing inflation relief camps and talking to the public, there was a feedback that there should be some change in the slab-wise exemption in electricity bills. He said that according to this, feedback was also received from the public regarding the fuel surcharge in the electricity bills in the month of May, on the basis of which a major decision has been taken.
Earlier, CM Gehlot had tweeted that he would announce a big relief for the people of the state at night. It is worth mentioning that in the budget of 2023-24, Gehlot had announced free electricity to domestic consumers for consuming up to 100 units under the Chief Minister’s Free Electricity Scheme. This scheme is to be effective from May 1.
