Bareilly : SI Sachin Sharma, constable Anil Pal, constable Shubham Kumar, constable Ankit Kumar, posted at Izzatnagar police station, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, acting contrary to their official duties by taking bribe, gross negligence, indiscipline, high-handedness, arbitrariness and Under the provisions of Rule 17 (1) (a) of the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Category Police Officers (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991, SSP Prabhakar Chowdhary has suspended him with immediate effect till further orders on charges of introducing misconduct. Along with this, departmental action has also been started against the accused police personnel.
These people were accused
On January 12, 2023, the SI and policemen posted at Izzatnagar police station in the city unnecessarily caught Arun Kumar, an auto driver, Arif Khan, the owner of the luggage, and Ashfaq Ahmed, Abdul Rauf, the driver of the bus, and took them to Izzatnagar police station. After this, the said persons have been kept in the lock-up of the police station. Demanded one lakh rupees from these people. There is also an allegation of taking a bribe of Rs 25,000 from Farhad alias Guddu for helping SI Sachin Sharma in a case related to a case. Earlier, SSP Prabhakar Chaudhary has taken action against many police personnel.
People are happy to see Prabhakar Chaudhary’s attitude in the district
SSP Bareilly Prabhakar Chowdhary has started showing his attitude in the district. 64 policemen posted in the city and rural police stations of the district have been put on the line. At the same time, 4 policemen including an inspector have been suspended. Complaints were being received against these policemen for a long time. Complaints of these policemen were also received on the WhatsApp number issued by the SSP to stop corruption in the police. Police investigation and LIU report found the allegations of complaints against them to be true. After which SSP has taken major action in a day.
