Formula of seats in INDIA alliance decided

Ranchi: The formula of India alliance has been decided in Jharkhand. Seat sharing will be announced soon. The formula is seven, five, one, one. That means Congress will get seven seats, JMM will get five seats, RJD will get one seat and Left Party will get one seat. However, efforts are still going on to reach a consensus between JMM and Congress regarding one seat. That seat is Lohardaga. Sources said that if JMM gets Lohardaga seat, then JMM-Congress will have six seats each. However, Congress is also refusing to give it to JMM, calling it its traditional seat. On the other hand, JMM MLA Chamra Linda is trying to contest elections from this seat.

On the other hand, the Left parties have also been requested to jointly field a candidate from Koderma after reaching a mutual agreement. RJD was demanding Palamu and Chatra seats. But an agreement has been reached only on giving only one seat, Chatra, to RJD. Sources said that opinion has also been taken from Hemant Soren on the formula. It was told that this time JMM will announce its candidates only after Congress announces its candidates. At present, the central leadership of Congress has not announced the candidates for Jharkhand. On the other hand, NDA alliance has announced candidates for 11 out of 14 seats. BJP has not announced candidates from Chatra and Dhanbad. AJSU has got Giridih seat.

Seat distribution under the current formula, JMM:

Rajmahal, Dumka, Giridih, Jamshedpur and Singhbhum, Congress: Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Dhanbad, Khunti, Palamu, Godda and Lohardaga, RJD: Chatra, Left: Koderma.
