Ranchi: The court of Additional Justice Dinesh Kumar convicted former JMM MLA from Torpa (Khunti) Paulus Surin and Naxalite Jetha Kachhap in the murder case of Ram Gobind and Bhushan Kumar Singh on the charge of being informer for the police. Along with this, Ranchi court has fixed the date of April 10 for hearing on the point of punishment. The court has acquitted Krishna Mahato and three female accused due to lack of evidence. PFLI supremo Dinesh Gop is also facing trial in the same case.

While the court of Additional Justice Dinesh Kumar convicted former JMM MLA Paulus Surin and Naxalite Jetha Kachhap, it acquitted Krishna Mahato and three women accused facing trial in this case due to lack of evidence. Paulus Surin was physically present in the court during the verdict, while Naxalite Jetha Kachhap was present through video conferencing from Godda jail. During the hearing of the case, statements of 12 witnesses were recorded from the prosecution side, while one witness was presented from the defense side.
Two people were murdered in 2013
Bhushan Kumar Singh and Ram Govind were murdered in 2013 in Torpa of Khunti district of Jharkhand on charges of being informers for the police. An FIR was registered under case number 27/2013 at Karra police station. In this case, along with former JMM MLA Paulus Surin, Naxalite Jetha Kachhap, Krishna Mahato, three female accused were also facing trial. PFLI supremo Dinesh Gop is also facing trial in the same case.
