Kanpur : Former UP Director General of Police (DGP) DS Chauhan has been included in the panel of directors of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA). This is the first time that an administrative officer has been included in UPCA. This decision was taken unanimously by the directors of UPCA, a private hotel in Lucknow. This post was lying vacant after the resignation of Rajeev Shukla. Till now, 12 people were working in the list of directors of UPCA, but now with the joining of DS Chauhan, the number of directors has increased to 13.

12 directors were working in UPCA. These include President Nidhipati Singhania, Abhishek Singhania, Yudhveer Singh, Riyasat Ali, Tahir Hasan, Ashok Chaturvedi, Prem Manohar Gupta, Pradeep Kumar Gupta, Shyam Babu, Javed Akhtar, Vijay Gupta and Gajendranath Tiwari. UPCA President Nidhipati Singhania presided over the online meeting held in Lucknow.

In this, a proposal was made to make the former DGP the director, which was passed unanimously. After this the number of directors has increased to 13. Apart from this, the upliftment of UPCA was also discussed in the upcoming session. Churning for holding international cricket match

In the UPCA meeting in Lucknow, there was a discussion till late night regarding holding international matches in UP. Many office bearers insisted on holding more and more international matches in UP. Many have proposed to have matches in Greenpark as well. All the officials of UPCA will watch the IPL match between Chennai and Lucknow on Wednesday i.e. today at Ekana Stadium.
