A meeting of Jharkhand Colliery Mazdoor Union was held on Monday in Kabriabad under Giridih Colliery. Shankar Pandit presided over. In this, Kabarabad branch of the union was formed unanimously. Jitendra Kumar was elected as branch president, Akil Ansari as secretary, Omprakash Sharma as co-secretary, Bhikhan Pasi and Mohan Das as vice-presidents, Gajadhari Marik as treasurer and Babuchand Rai as co-treasurer. The observers were zonal vice president of the union Dilip Mandal, president Hargauri Sav Chakku, secretary Tejlal Mandal. Selected branch officials were welcomed. Everyone stressed on strengthening the union. Area secretary of the union, Tejlal Mandal said that after the formation of Kabarabad, the organization will expand here. Said that Kabarabad mines have become operational due to the tireless efforts of Giridih MLA Sudivya Kumar Sonu. This has brightened up the colliery. For this the union expresses its gratitude to the MLA. Jhakomyu has always been raising its voice in the interest of workers. This will continue to happen in future also.
