Flights will no longer be delayed due to fog! These changes will happen at the airport after huge uproar, SOP issued

Jyotiraditya Scindia tweeted important information

Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia tweeted and said that in view of the disruptions caused by fog, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been issued to all airlines to minimize the inconvenience to passengers. He has also given information by tweeting what changes have been made.

1. Apart from these SOPs, we have asked for reporting thrice daily for all 6 metro airports.

2. DGCA India’s instructions, SOPs and CARS will be monitored and reported regularly.

3. ‘War rooms’ will be set up by airports and airline operators at the 6 metro airports to immediately resolve any issues regarding passenger inconvenience.

4. Availability of adequate CISF forces will be ensured round the clock.

5. CAT-3 runway 29L/11R at Delhi Airport has been made operational from today. Along with this, runway 10/28 will also be made CAT-3 equipped.

6. After re-carpeting, RWY 10/28 will also be operated as CAT III at Delhi Airport.
