Five Star Hotel in Patna: Three five star hotels will open in Patna, from Taj to Radisson showed interest

The state government plans to build three five-star hotels in the capital Patna in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode, but due to short lease period, investors are not coming forward for the hotels. Now the government can consider increasing the lease period from 45 years to 99 years. These five-star hotels are to be built on the land of Bankipur Bus Stand located at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, by demolishing the old Hotel Patliputra near Income Tax Golambar and on the land of Sultan Palace near R Block. The responsibility of determining the rules, regulations and conditions for the hotel tender has been given to the Infrastructure Development Authority (IDA). A global tender will be issued for this soon. After that the further process will start.

Hotels will be built on PPP mode

On Thursday, a meeting of the Tourism Department was held with representatives of many big hotel groups regarding the five star hotel. It is the priority of the government to build five stars in Patna in PPP mode. Representatives of big hotel groups like Taj, Radiance, Ambuja and Mayfair were present in the meeting. In this, the representatives suggested increasing the lease period from 45 years to 99 years. Sources say that the Tourism Department has assured to consider the suggestion seriously. The department will put this issue before the government.

12 storey five star hotel to be built near Sultan Palace

There is a plan to build a 12-storey five star hotel in place of Sultan Palace located in R Block. The hotel to be built on about 4.8 acres of land will have about 400 rooms. These will have 300 double bedrooms, 40 single bedrooms, 20 VIP suites, four presidential suites, two conference halls, banquet and restaurant. It is noteworthy that Sultan Palace was built in 1922 by Patna’s famous barrister Sir Sultan Ahmed.

Hotel Patliputra Ashok will be demolished and Alishan Hotel will be built.

Hotel Pataliputra Ashok located near Income Tax Golambar will be demolished and a 12 storey five star hotel will be built. The hotel to be built on about one and a half acres will have 175 rooms. These will have 15 to 20 single bedrooms, 140 to 160 double bedrooms, 15 VIP suites, exhibition cum business centre, fine dine restaurant, spa etc.

22 storey hotel will be built on the land of Bankipur bus stand

The five star hotel to be built on the land of Bankipur bus stand near Gandhi Maidan in the capital will be the tallest building in Patna. There is a plan to build at least a 22-storey building here. This hotel, to be built on about 3.5 acres of land, will have 500 rooms. These will have 160-160 standard and deluxe rooms, 72 family deluxe rooms, five bridal suites, 10 executive suites, four presidential suites.
