Jamshedpur News:Taking action in the case of firing at Jugsalai Murgi Chowk on Sunday night, the police has arrested the main accused Zahid Hussain alias Vicky and sent him to jail. A weapon has also been recovered from the accused. City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat gave this information in the press conference held on Monday. Told that Zahid Hussain alias Vicky is out to avenge the old rivalry. Wanted to kill Majid. He was standing hidden near Murgi Chowk for about an hour before the firing. He had bought a pistol from Bihar to commit the crime. The weapon was kept hidden near the Idgah ground. The police have claimed to solve the case within twelve hours of the incident.

Police investigation so far has revealed that Majid and Vicky had an old rivalry going on. On March 19, 2023, Vicky was shot on the river bank. Vicky was injured in this. Majid, on behalf of the accused named in this case, tried to broker a compromise. An agreement could not be reached. The dispute between Vicky and Majid increased regarding this. On Sunday night, Vicky came to know that Majid had gone to attend a program. He started waiting at the intersection with a pistol. As soon as Majid reached the spot. Vicky called out. As soon as Majid stopped, Vicky opened fire. Majid and his friend Mahfooz Alam got injured in this. On receiving the information the police team arrived. Investigated the CCTV installed at the spot. After this Vicky was arrested near Gauri Shankar Road. On his information, pistol and shell were recovered.

Both Majid and his companion Mahfooz gave different information regarding the incident. Only Vicky was seen firing in the CCTV footage. Majid had told the names of four attackers to the police.
