Fire in Banka amid strong storm, 17 houses burnt to ashes due to spark fire

After the scorching heat, due to the storm that came on Sunday night, where people got relief from the humidity, on the other hand, due to the spark flying in the air, many houses were burnt to ashes. The incident is of Mandal Tola of Chakjaway village, ward number 11 under Sanjha-Shyampur panchayat of Rajon block of the district. About 17 houses here were gutted in the midnight fire on Sunday. The main reason for this fire incident is said to be leaving the stove on fire after cooking.

Three fire extinguishers reached the village

The information about the fire was immediately given to Rajaun BDO Rajkumar Pandit, CO Mohammad Moinuddin and fire extinguisher department. After this, every possible effort was made to control the fire with the help of three fire extinguishers which came from Banka, Barahat and Jagdishpur of the neighboring Bhagalpur district. The relatives of the victims said that due to some delay in the arrival of the fire brigade, 17 houses were burnt to ashes. About 100 big, small and elderly people of 17 houses have been affected by the fire, for which temporary arrangements are being made for everything from food and other food items to drinking water, shelter etc.

Here, on Monday morning, BDO Rajkumar Pandit, CO Mohammad Moinuddin, Zonal Revenue Officer Prashant Kumar Jha, Light Revenue Officer Guddu Kumar Ram, North Zilla Parishad member representative cum former chief JDU block president Raghavendra Singh reached the village to take stock. CO Mohammad Moinuddin has told that 17 houses of the village were badly destroyed due to the fire. Arrangements have been made on a war footing for plastic, drought relief material, arrangement of community kitchen, medical team camp, water supply from tanker by PHED department as immediate relief material among the victims.
