Unseasonal fire has started in the forest of Madanpur forest area of Forest Division 2 of Valmiki Tiger Reserve located in West Champaran, Bihar. The anxiety of the VTR administration started increasing regarding this. Forest officials say that efforts are being made to control the fire. Wild animals were not harmed in this fire.
Fire broke out in the forest areas of room number 9
On Wednesday, a massive fire broke out in the forest areas of forest chamber number 9 of Madanpur forest range. Nearly one acre of evergreen forest has been destroyed by the forest fire. Due to the untimely fire in the forest, the wild animals have started feeling unsafe and the restlessness of the forest workers has increased. Mischievous elements have increased the anxiety of the forest administration by setting unseasonal fire in the forest of protected Madanpur forest area.
Information about fire given to fire brigade
Due to this incident of fire, the forest personnel and officials posted in the Tiger Reserve got worried. Everyone started worrying whether any animal would be harmed by the fire. Forest personnel started trying to extinguish the fire with fire fighting equipment and the fire brigade team was also informed about the fire.
Team deployed for investigation and monitoring Madanpur Forest Range Officer Vinod Kumar Singh said that information about fire has been received. Only small plants of Kar and Patel have been burnt. How much forest area has been damaged due to this fire incident and how and for what reason has the fire been set in the forest area. Who are the elements involved in carrying out this incident? A team of forest workers has been deployed to investigate and monitor it. Prima facie investigation has shown that a lot of forest area has been damaged due to the forest fire in Madanpur forest area.
There was a fire last year also
Last year too, there was a case of sudden fire in Valmiki Tiger Reserve in the months of February and March. Last year, on February 10, a fire broke out which spread over about 20 acres. Many trees in the forest were burnt in the fire that broke out on March 15 last year. In such a situation, the forest department officials are worried about how frequent fire incidents are happening.
