Fire broke out in Bareilly’s women’s hospital, children admitted in SNCU were shifted to Badaun Medical College.

Bareilly : On Tuesday, a fire broke out due to a short circuit in the Special Neurological Care Unit (SNSU) of the District Women’s Hospital, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. This created chaos in the hospital. Seeing the fire in the ward, the relatives of the sick children ran with their children. There were 11 children in the ward. Of these, 8 sick children were admitted to Badaun Medical College. The fire was controlled with great difficulty. Due to this, a major accident was averted. The fire broke out due to a short circuit with a sudden loud bang in the ward of the women’s hospital. Flames started rising. Seeing the flames, Tinardar got scared. He took the children out of the ward and started running away. To prevent sparks from the electrical board, he closed the main supply line of the hospital. Along with this, efforts were made to control the fire. The power line of SNCU ward was separated. After this, the power supply of the hospital was restored. As soon as information about the incident was received, doctors and staff reached the spot. It is said that 11 children were admitted in the unit at the time of the fire. Two children The family members were in fear of fire. They went to a private hospital, and eight children were shifted to Badaun Medical College in a government ambulance. The condition of one child was improving. However, after leaving the ward, the family members of the children heaved a sigh of relief. .

SNCU ward vacated

After the fire, the ward was immediately evacuated. The power supply was switched off. After this the fire was brought under control. The child ward was also evacuated in a hurry. The newborn babies were shifted to hospitals in other districts through ambulances. Along with this, the team of Electric Department got involved in repairing the electrical fault. On receiving information about the fire, the Health Department officials inspected the spot and gave guidelines to ensure that such incident does not happen again.
