As soon as the news of drone attack on merchant ship MV Chem Pluto was received, the Indian Coast Guard ship ICGS Vikram deployed on patrol has left for help. Defense officials said that the merchant ship was reported to be present 217 nautical miles off the Porbandar coast on Saturday. According to defense officials, the ship was carrying crude oil and was heading towards Mangalore from a port in Saudi Arabia. The fire has been extinguished.
