Lucknow. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has directed the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Muzaffarnagar to initiate an investigation and register an FIR against a private school teacher. Who had instructed the children in his class to kill one student one by one. The SSP has also been instructed to take action within a week and submit the report. A video of this incident went viral on social media. Along with this, the NCPCR has directed the District Magistrate (DM) of Muzaffarnagar to initiate action in the matter under Section 17 (corporal punishment/mental harassment of a child) of the RTE Act, 2009.
Commission took suo motu cognizance on the basis of video
In the purported video, the teacher is seen referring to the student’s Muslim faith and talking disparagingly about “Muslim children”. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has taken suo motu cognizance on the basis of the video. The NCPCR has said that “a minor student has been observed to be subjected to physical and mental abuse in a school located in district Muzaffarnagar.”
