In fact, in July 2023, Gujarat Tourism Corporation Limited (TCGL) had signed an MoU with Worldwide Media Private Limited (A Times Group Company) to organize the 69th Filmfare Awards.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was also present in this function. Apart from this, actor Tiger Shroff represented the Hindi film industry at the ceremony, in which he told about his special relationship with Gujarat.
Tiger said, “I have a special relationship with Gujarat because my grandfather was a Gujarati and if we talk about Filmfare, I have a beautiful relationship with this award show.
The actor said, I participated in the Filmfare Awards for the first time in 1990. He said, “It is going to be a wonderful experience. Thank you to the Gujarat CM for opening your arms to the film industry, Filmfare.”
The Filmfare Awards were first instituted in 1954. Reportedly, Black (2005) has won the most Filmfare Awards in a year. It won 11 awards under Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Critics, Best Supporting Actress, Best Editing.
