A tough competition was seen between Japan and Germany on the second day of the FIH Women’s Hockey Olympic Qualifier 2024 being played at the Jaipal Singh Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Marang Gomke, Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. This match remained inconclusive. Both the teams scored one goal each and made the match a draw. Germany had made a great start by defeating Chile in the first day’s match. Whereas Japan had defeated Czech Republic. In today’s match, Germany created many chances to score goals, but the Japanese team, which came on the field with full preparation, demonstrated excellent defense. After the match, Japan’s coach also mentioned that we had already decided to play defensively and our strategy worked. Now our focus is on the next match, which is important to win.
