In filmmaker Siddharth Anand’s most awaited film Fighter, the brilliant pair of Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan will be seen playing the role of Air Force pilots.
Fighter is all set to release in theaters on January 25. This is the same day when Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan was released last year. This movie broke all records at the box office.
Advance booking of the fighter has started. According to industry tracker Sacanilc, Fighter has recorded 86,516 advance bookings on the very first day, earning Rs 2.84 crore. The breakdown includes 33,624 tickets for the 2D Hindi version, 46,790 tickets for the 3D version, 4,881 tickets for IMAX 3D action and 1,221 tickets for the immersive 4DX 3D experience.
Delhi has contributed Rs 67.39 lakh, Maharashtra Rs 75.02 lakh, Telangana Rs 40.73 lakh and Karnataka Rs 43.54 lakh in blockbuster advance booking.
The fighter is said to be inspired by the 2019 Pulwama attack, which reflects India’s response to the incident. The film, with a duration of 2 hours and 46 minutes, has received a U/A certification from the Central Board of Film Certification. The film is set to release in 7,537 shows, which will offer audiences various formats including 2D, 3D, IMAX 3D and even 4D.
In the trailer, the entire team is on a mission to save India from the enemies. The chemistry and banter between Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone is worth seeing. The movie revolves around “the deadliest terrorist attack on the Indian Air Force” in Pulwama.
The film also mentions the Pulwama attack as well as India’s cross-border attacks in Balakot. As the trailer progresses, and a character, presumably playing the role of the country’s PM, talks about revenge and making the ‘enemy’ realise, ‘Who is the father?’
