Farmers ready with tractor-trolleys to join Delhi march, three Union ministers will hold talks today

Farmers are making full preparations for ‘Delhi March’
Sarwan Singh Pandher, general secretary of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti, said on Monday that a convoy of tractor-trolley left from Beas of Amritsar in the morning, which will gather in Fatehgarh Sahib district. Many farmers from Moga, Bathinda and Jalandhar districts have also left their villages to join the march. SKM leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal said that tractor-trolleys will gather at Mehlan Chowk in Fatehgarh Sahib district and Sangrur on Monday evening.

Team of Union Ministers will talk to farmers

The administration has made strong security arrangements
In view of the farmers’ Delhi Chalo march, Delhi and Haryana Police have made tight security arrangements. Security has been tightened at Singhu, Ghazipur and Tikri borders. Traffic restrictions have been imposed. To stop the proposed Delhi Chalo march of farmers, the state’s border with Punjab has been fortified at many places in Ambala, Jind, Fatehabad and Kurukshetra by installing concrete barricades, iron nails and barbed wire. Haryana government has also imposed restrictions in 15 districts under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. There is a ban on gathering of five or more people in these districts and there is a ban on holding any kind of demonstration or taking out march with tractor-trolley. Section 144 has also been implemented in Delhi.
