There is a massive protest by farmers on the Delhi border. Haryana Police is having to struggle a lot to stop the farmers leaving from Punjab to march to Delhi. Seeing the demonstration of farmers at Shambhu border, the police had to fire tear gas shells.

The Delhi Chalo march of farmers is now gaining momentum for their demands including minimum support price. Farmers from Punjab, Haryana and UP have reached Delhi border.

Farmers demonstrated strongly at Shambhu border in Delhi. Seeing the situation, Haryana Police had to fire tear gas shells. Due to the gathering of farmers on the border, there has been huge traffic jam on all the borders adjacent to Delhi.

The protesting farmers on the Delhi border are adamant on marching to Delhi. Police have sealed all the borders to prevent people from entering Delhi.

The farmers standing on the borders of Delhi have sounded the alarm of war across the border. The slogan of the farmers is that they will march to Delhi and remain there. All the borders including Ghazipur, Singhu, Shambhu, Tikri have been converted into cantonments.

In view of the fierce protest by farmers, Section 144 has been imposed in Delhi from 12th February. It has been implemented in Delhi for one month.

At the same time, Delhi Police has said that if the miscreants try to take law and order into their hands under the guise of farmers, then strict action will be taken against them.

In view of the farmers’ march to Delhi today, the Delhi government has rejected the Central Government’s proposal to convert Bawana Stadium into a jail. On the Centre’s proposal, Delhi Government Home Minister Kailash Gehlot has said that the demands of the farmers are legitimate. Peaceful protest is the constitutional right of every citizen. Therefore arresting farmers is wrong.

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said on heavy barriers being put up on the borders that the borders of Punjab and Haryana look like international borders. We are not saying that we will block the roads, the government itself is blocking the roads.

At the same time, to convince the farmers and stop their agitation, a marathon meeting of farmer leaders was held with three Union Ministers on Monday. The meeting lasted for about five hours. But the result was nothing. Farmers remained adamant on the demand for legal guarantee on minimum support price. Due to which the meeting remained inconclusive.
