Kharsawan: Kisan Samagam (Agriculture Fair cum Training Program) is being organized by the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on 1 January 2024 in Kharsawan, Jharkhand. Chaired by CP Radhakrishnan, Governor of Jharkhand and Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Tribal Affairs. Arjun Munda It will be inaugurated in the chief hospitality of. More than 100 stalls will be set up in the fair by government departments, private institutions, startups etc. related to agriculture and allied sectors. These will be informative and inspirational for the farmers as well as other people associated with the farming sector.
Farmers’ gathering in Gondpur ground of Kharsawan
It has been the intention of the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make the areas related to farming more advanced and profitable. In this sequence, the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, in collaboration with the institutions of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), National Seed Corporation, Birsa Agricultural University, IFFCO, National Horticulture Board, ATARI (Patna) and various institutions of the state government, is conducting research in Kharsawan of Jharkhand. This big event is being organized in Gondpur ground. Its objective is to showcase various aspects of agricultural process and products, latest agri-machinery, agri-inputs and other aspects of farmer-friendly practices. Besides, the fair is a platform for agricultural scientists, experts, extension workers, policy makers and agricultural officers to share their experiences with farmer brothers and sisters.
Agricultural science centers will also participate
Participation of Krishi Vigyan Kendras working in different districts of Jharkhand has also been ensured in the fair. Thousands of farmers of the state will participate in the fair and public representatives will also be present. Keeping in mind the developed India, arrangements have also been made to provide information about the beneficial schemes run by the Government of India for the development and upliftment of farmers in the fair. During the fair, farmers will also be given information regarding natural farming, use of drones in agriculture and developing agriculture as an enterprise.
