Extension in operating period of two pairs of trains in Bihar, temporary stoppage of many trains at stations, see list

Train News: The operating period of two pairs of trains in Bihar has been extended. In view of the convenience of passengers, Railways has decided to extend the operating period of 02 pairs of special trains being run. Along with this, for the convenience of the passengers going to Anand Marg Dharma Mahasammelan, the Railway Administration has given stoppage of many trains at Pundag station from 27.12.2023 to 04.01.2024. Howrah-Barmer-Howrah Express is being given a halt at Sasaram station of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Mandal. At the same time, due to fog, many trains have also been delayed in the state. Chief Public Relations Officer Virendra Kumar has shared this information.

Extension in operating period of these trains

1. Train No. 01665 Rani Kamalapati – Agartala Special will operate from Rani Kamalapati on every Thursday from 04.01.2024 to 28.03.2024.

2. Train No. 01666 Agartala-Rani Kamalapati Special will operate from Agartala on every Sunday from 07.01.2024 to 31.03.2024.

3. Train number 05553 Patliputra-Gaya special will operate daily from Patliputra from 01.01.2024 to 31.03.2024.

4. Train number 05554 Gaya-Patliputra special will operate daily from Gaya from 01.01.2024 to 31.03.2024.

Additional stoppage of Howrah Express

In view of the convenience of passengers, it has been decided to provide an experimental stoppage of 02 minutes at Sasaram station of train number 12323/12324 Howrah-Barmer-Howrah Express running between Howrah and Barmer. From 28.12.2023, train number 12324 Barmer-Howrah Express will reach Sasaram at 20.32 hrs and will depart from there at 20.34 hrs. Similarly, from 30.12.2023, train no. 12323 Howrah-Barmer Express will reach Sasaram at 03.07 hrs and will depart from there at 03.09 hrs.

Temporary stoppage of these trains at Punadag station

1. Train No. 13303 Dhanbad- Ranchi Intercity – Arrival at 07.27 hrs, departure at 07.28 hrs

2. Train No. 13304 Ranchi- Dhanbad Intercity – Arrival at 20.54 hrs, departure at 20.55 hrs

3. Train no. 18105 Rourkela- Jaynagar Express – Arrival at 22.16 hrs, departure at 22.17 hrs.

4. Train No. 18106 Jaynagar-Rourkela Express – Arrival at 07.55 hrs, departure at 07.56 hrs.

5. Train No. 18625 Purnia Court – Hatia Express – Arrival at 17.43 hrs, departure at 17.44 hrs.

6. Train no. 18626 Hatia-Purnia Court Express – Arrival at 08.00 hrs, departure at 08.01 hrs.

7. Train no. 18623 Islampur-Hatia Express – Arrival at 05.08 hrs and departure at 05.09 hrs.

8. Train no. 18624 Hatia-Islampur Express – Arrival at 21.35 hrs, departure at 21.36 hrs.

Intensive ticket checking continues

Danapur Division of East Central Railway is constantly alert and working for the convenience of railway passengers traveling with proper ticket/authorization. In this regard, continuous ticket checking work is being done intensively in Danapur division against traveling by train without ticket/proper authorization. In this sequence, on Wednesday, 27.12.2023, an intensive ticket checking campaign was conducted at Bihta station of the division. In this campaign, a special ticket checking squad was deployed at Bihta station and intensive ticket checking was done on the platforms and in the trains passing through the station, especially in the AC coaches. During investigation at Bihta station, 157 ticketless/irregular tickets were found, from which revenue of Rs 72,885/- was earned as fine. It is noteworthy that in the ticket checking campaign in Danapur division, a total of 25,324 people were caught during the ticket checking conducted in the last 06 days from 21 December 2023 to 26 December 2023 under the Railway Act against people traveling without tickets. From which Rs 1,51,89,953/- was recovered as penalty. As a result of this ticket checking campaign, increased crowd was seen at the ticket counters of the station and passengers became aware about traveling by train by taking proper tickets. Commercial officers and personnel along with RPF personnel were also involved in this ticket checking campaign. Such ticket checking campaign will continue in the division also. Passengers are requested to never travel by train without a ticket. This is punishable. Always travel by train by purchasing a train ticket in the appropriate class.
