Jharkhand’s Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh inaugurated the Godhan Nyay Yojana yesterday. At present, it has been started as a pilot project in 5 districts of the state. What is Godhan Nyaya Yojana
The objective of this scheme launched by the Government of Jharkhand is to reduce the dependence of farmers on chemical fertilizers and increase the income of farmers by preparing vermicompost using the excreted cow dung. Because cow dung plays an important role in the ecosystem of agriculture. This increases the fertilizer capacity of the soil. An effective management is needed to effectively use cow dung in agriculture. This will greatly benefit the farmers.
Goal of Godhan Nyaya Yojana
Through the Pagodhan Nyaya Yojana, the government wants to promote the use of organic manure by increasing the income of cattle herders. Also, by providing organic fertilizers at the local level, it wants to provide employment opportunities to local self-help groups/unemployed youths. This will not only help in increasing the fertility of the land, but chemical-free food will be available.
