Till now we were talking about the South Korean company Hyundai’s Exter, but now if we talk about the punch of our homegrown Indian car maker Tata Motors, then the Hyundai Exter stands nowhere in front of our Tata Punch. Hyundai is a foreign company. Anytime it can slip out of India by covering its bed, but Tata is a domestic company of its soil. It has a live-here, die-here type of relationship. That is the SUV Punch of its homegrown company.

The design of Punch is attractive and youthful. It gets a twin-slat grille, LED headlamps, LED taillights and 16-inch alloy wheels. The interior is also modern and comfortable. It gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 6-speaker audio system, a climate control system and steering-mounted audio controls.

Tata Punch’s CNG is amazing

Tata Motors is using the same three-cylinder naturally aspirated 1.2-litre engine for the Punch that powers other Tata vehicles as well. When running on CNG, it produces a maximum power of 72.39 Bhp and peak torque output of 103 Nm. When running on petrol, these figures go up to 84.82 Bhp and 113 Nm. Tata’s Punch is amazing in India

Overall, the Tata Punch is a well designed, powerful and affordable SUV. It is one of the most popular SUVs in India and it is clearly why.

Tata Motors is bringing electric version of its Punch

Let us tell you that no foreign company can stand in front of our domestic car maker Tata. Tata Motors is a visionary automobile company. Lakhtakia is the first company to introduce Nano in the whole world. Tata Motors brought punch to compete with Hyundai Xtor. Punch brought CNG and now Punch is going to bring EV. It is reported that Tata Motors is preparing to launch the facelift version of the Nexon EV next week. Among the three electric cars that the car manufacturer has promised to launch this year, Punch EV is also ready to be launched in the car market. It is expected that Tata Motors can launch the electric variant of its smallest SUV Punch in October just in time for the festive season. The Punch will become the fourth EV from the carmaker, which offers the Nexon EV, Tigor EV and Tiago EV as part of its all-electric fleet. Punch is going to be the third car in its fleet, which offers ICE, CNG and electric models in the same model. Tata Punch EV has been seen testing on Indian roads several times before its official launch. Its spy shots have also gone viral, those who have captured the pictures of Punch EV in their cameras. These pictures show that the automaker confirms many of the features and specifications offered by the Punch EV.

Tata Punch EV design

The design of the Punch EV is unlikely to be fundamentally different from the ICE or CNG variants of the SUV. The front grille of the Punch EV is expected to be a closed unit unlike the standard variant. Tata Motors is also expected to use its new EV brand identity on the new Punch EV for the first time. The electric SUV is also expected to come with exterior and interior color themes. Tata Motors usually uses blue color in its EVs. The alloy design is also likely to be updated. Apart from this, many other minor changes can also be seen in it.

Tata Punch EV Charging Point

Viral spy shots in the recent past suggest that the Punch EV could be the first electric car from Tata Motors to feature a front-facing charging port. In all other Tata EVs, the charging point is placed on the rear profile of the vehicle, where the fuel tank lid is usually located.

Tata Punch EV battery

Now if we talk about the battery of Punch EV, Tata Motors can either use a 24 kWh unit or a 26 kWh battery pack, which it has used in existing models like Tiago EV or Tigor EV. The smaller battery used in the Tiago EV offers a range of up to 250 kms on a single charge. The bigger battery used in the Tigor EV offers a range of up to 315 kms. However, the range of the Punch EV may vary depending on the battery it gets, which should be somewhere around the 300 km mark. It is expected that it will also come with fast charging capability.

Features of Tata Nexon EV facelift

Tata Motors is about to launch the facelift version of its Nexon EV in the list of electric vehicles on 7 September 2023. In this, body panels similar to ICE Nexon facelift will be seen. As seen in the new teaser, Tata is presenting the Nexon EV with a more updated look compared to its ICE model. Tata will introduce the 2023 Nexon EV on September 7, while it will be launched along with the 2023 Nexon on September 14. It is because of Nexon EV that electric vehicles have gained more popularity in India. Before this, only a few electric models were available in the country. Nexon EV single-handedly changed the EV segment in India and also popularized it.

Tata Nexon EV facelift design

Like its ICE model, the Nexon EV will also get a similar design theme inspired by the Curve concept. Almost every design element of the current Nexon EV is similar to its ICE model. But, now some differences will be seen between these two. It will get new LED DRL patterns, whereas the LED DRL in the ICE facelift has a split approach. However, the Nexon EV will feature connected design LED DRLs at the front. This will be the main difference between the Nexon ICE and EV models. Apart from this, many other updates will also be seen in it.
