Exercise begins for the third phase of teacher appointment in Bihar, government asks for vacancies from districts

Patna. The education department is preparing for the third phase of teacher appointment. These appointments will be filled through Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) only. In this context, information about vacancies has been sought from the District Education Officers of all the districts. This information has been sought separately for primary (one to five), middle (six to eight), secondary (nine to 10) and higher secondary (11-12). Director of Secondary Education Kanhaiya Lal Srivastava has issued an official letter to give information to all the districts in this regard.

Instructions to send numbers by 31st January under all circumstances

According to Director of Secondary Education Srivastava, the number of local body teachers among the teachers appointed under the first and second phase is around 20-25 thousand. In such circumstances, after calculating the posts appointed by the local bodies, it has become necessary to create the post of school teacher from the Administrative Posts Category Committee. Secondary Director Srivastava has asked all the District Education Officers to ensure that by January 31, they send the requested information in the sent form to their respective email IDs. According to the information, even before this the Secondary Directorate has sought information about vacancies. Due to various reasons the DEO could not give that information. It has been made clear in the letter that it is considered very important.

Vacant posts in the school will be filled before the upcoming academic session.

Secondary Director has informed all the District Education Officers about the number of local body teachers in all categories like Primary, Middle, Secondary and Higher Secondary who have been appointed to the post of school teachers under the first and second phase of teacher appointment and the number of related vacancies. What is? This information has to be given subject wise to the education department. At present, the Education Department wants that the posts of teachers remaining vacant in the school should be filled before the upcoming academic session, so that quality education can be ensured.

About 25 thousand posts remained vacant in the second phase.

According to the information, 50 thousand posts which remained vacant in the first phase of recruitment from Bihar Public Service Commission were included in the second phase. Advertisement for about 1.20 lakh teachers was issued in the second phase. Out of this, only about 94 thousand teachers were appointed. Therefore, the remaining approximately 25 thousand posts remain vacant. After the first and second phase of teacher appointments, the vacant posts due to retirement of teachers can also be included in the new phase.
