Lucknow: In UP, administrative control over the cyber police station will be of the SP, SSP of the district and the Commissioner in the Commissionerate. Uttar Pradesh government has issued its orders. Till now this responsibility was the responsibility of the IG posted at the Cyber ​​Crime Headquarters. Two IPS rank officers posted at the police headquarters looked after cases related to cyber crime. At present there are 18 regional cyber crime police stations in the state.

Formation of cyber crime stations in Mirzapur, Gonda, Azamgarh, Saharanpur, Aligarh, Kanpur, Banda, Agra, Moradabad, Varanasi, Jhansi, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Bareilly, Basti and Gorakhpur under the administrative control of Inspector General of Police (IG) Cyber ​​Crime in UP. Has been done. Since the time of their formation, the administrative control and operation of these cyber crime stations was done by IG Cyber ​​Crime, SP Cyber ​​Crime, ASP Cyber ​​Crime.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered to open cyber crime police stations in all the districts. Under this, the responsibility of 18 regional cyber crime stations has been given to the SP-SSP and Commissioner of the district. In future, the UP government is preparing to open police stations in 57 districts. UP Police also runs a helpline number 1930 for complaints of online financial fraud. A complaint can be made on this helpline within 24 hours of the fraud occurring.
