Evidence of temples found in Gyanvapi Mosque, idols of Hindu gods found, big revelation in ASI report

Gyanvapi Mosque It is built on the remains of an already existing temple there. This has been revealed in the ASI report. Hindu side’s lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain, citing the ASI survey report, said, ASI has said that before the construction of the present structure, a big Hindu temple existed there.

Idols of Hindu deities were also found in Gyanvapi Mosque.

Based on the survey report of the Gyanvapi complex submitted by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in the Varanasi district court, lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain said, along with the remains of the temple, idols of Hindu deities were also found.

Mosque built using inscription from Hindu temple

Advocate Vishnu Shankar, representing the Hindu side, said, ASI has said that there are 34 inscriptions where there were pre-existing Hindu temples. This mosque was built by reusing the inscription of what was previously a Hindu temple. Inscriptions have been found in Devanagari, Granth, Telugu and Kannada scripts. In these inscriptions, three names of gods like Janardan, Rudra and Umeshwar are found.

The pillars in the mosque were from a Hindu temple.

Advocate Vishnu Shankar said, ASI has said that the pillars installed in the mosque were from a Hindu temple and were reused. Meaning the pillars of the Hindu temple were modified.
