Muzaffarpur. Winter has started, but the havoc of dengue is not decreasing. Seven to eight new cases are being found every day. According to health experts, dengue mosquitoes can survive even at temperatures above 24 degrees Celsius. Dengue virus can be spread by biting people, but the way patients are being found these days. This assumption is being proved wrong. Even today, the same number of new cases are coming as number of patients were being received till a month ago. Temperature fluctuations do not seem to have any effect on the spread of dengue.

It is difficult to say when the spread of dengue will stop completely.

Doctors say that every year the spread of dengue started decreasing after Diwali, but now Chhath has also ended, but new cases of dengue are being found continuously. However, something can be said in this regard only after research. District Vector Borne Disease Control Officer Dr. Satish Kumar says that earlier the spread of dengue used to reduce even in mild cold, but now it is not so. Dengue mosquitoes become less after the temperature falls. It is possible that a case may be found in January also. It is difficult to say when the spread of dengue will stop completely. Physician Dr. Amit Kumar says that diseases are also increasing with time. The way climate change is happening, old notions are coming to an end.

Eight new dengue patients found

Eight new dengue patients were found in the district on Thursday. These include two patients from Meenapur, two from Mushahari, one from Aurai, one from Sakra and two from urban areas. In this way, 554 patients have been confirmed so far in the district. The number of patients undergoing dengue test at SKMCH is increasing every day. However, to prevent dengue, fogging is also being carried out in the affected areas. Under the leadership of District Vector Borne Disease Control Officer Dr. Satish Kumar, Temaphos medicine was sprayed at Pani Kal Chowk, Banaras Bank Chowk, Church Road, Chandwara Mohalla and water logging sites.

No kit in Sadar Hospital, dengue investigation stopped

Here, due to shortage of kits in Muzaffarpur Sadar Hospital, dengue ELISA test has been stopped. Here potential patients are being referred to SKMCH. On one hand, dengue is spreading rapidly in the district. Due to shortage of kits, the problems of patients suffering from dengue symptoms have increased. District Vector Borne Disease Control Officer Dr. Satish Kumar said that 192 kits are being ordered. The investigation will be resumed after the kit arrives.

Death of second patient due to dengue confirmed in Magadh Medical

After the death of a person at Magadh Medical Hospital in Gaya late night on 19th November, the sample test report has come out positive for dengue. The number of deaths due to dengue this season in the dengue ward of the hospital has reached two. Even before this, one had died due to dengue. Hospital Deputy Superintendent Dr NK Paswan said that late on the night of 19th, a person was admitted in a critical condition. The patient died during treatment two hours later. The report of ELISA test has come out dengue positive. He told that at present 12 patients are undergoing treatment in the ward. This includes nine confirmed dengue positive and three suspected patients. On Thursday, reports of seven people came dengue positive in the ELISA test. Two patients have been discharged from the hospital after recovery.

Five new dengue patients found

Five dengue patients were found in the ELIZA test on Thursday at Mayaganj Hospital in Bhagalpur. 14 patients were undergoing treatment in the hospital on Thursday. Of these, three serious patients have been shifted to HDU ward. Six new suspected patients were admitted, while four patients were discharged after recovery.

Dengue continues to wreak havoc in Kahalgaon urban and rural areas. New cases are being found every day. Of the 23 people tested for dengue at Kahalgaon Sub-Divisional Hospital on Thursday, nine people were found to be suffering from dengue. Dr. Anand Mohan, Deputy Superintendent in charge of the Sub-Divisional Hospital, said that till now 1817 people have been tested for dengue in the Sub-Divisional Hospital, out of which 439 have been found dengue positive so far.
