Enrollment fees fixed in government dental colleges of Bihar, know how much will be the fees now?

The fees for admission to BDS (UG) and MDS (PG) courses in Government Dental College Hospitals of Bihar has been fixed by the state government. Along with this proposal, a total of eight proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting held on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Now, for enrolling in BDS course of Patna Dental College Hospital and Dental College located at Rahui in Nalanda district, admission fee will be Rs 45,800 and for enrolling in MDS course, admission fee will be Rs 49,200.

Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Department, Dr. S. Siddharth said that at the time of enrollment in the BDS course at the graduation level, a total of Rs 40,800 will have to be paid. This includes admission fee of one thousand (one time), tuition fee of nine thousand (per year-four and a half years), hostel fee of 12 thousand (annually), caution money of 10 thousand (one time), electricity charge of Rs 1200 (annually), magazine society 500. Rs (every year), College Activity Rs 2,000 (once), Student Welfare Fund Rs 5,000 (once) and Student Union Fund Rs 100 have to be paid once. After enrolment, students will have to pay only Rs 22 thousand 700 annual educational fee for three and a half years.

Similarly, at the time of admission in postgraduate course, fees of Rs 47,200- 49,200 will be charged. In this, admission fee in PG degree is four thousand (once), admission fee in PG diploma is two thousand (once), admission fee in super specialty is five thousand (once), tuition fee is nine thousand (annually), hostel fee is 12 thousand. (Annually), Caution Money Rs 10,000 (one time), Electricity Charge Rs 1,200 (annual), Magazine Society Rs 1,000 (annual) and Student Welfare Fund Rs 5,000 (one time).

Creation of 149 additional posts in RIO of IGIMS

The Cabinet has approved the creation of a total of 149 additional posts of teaching and non-teaching in various departments in the Regional Eye Institute (RIO) of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), Patna. Additional Chief Secretary said that IGIMS has been developed as a tertiary care institution in the field of ophthalmology. In view of the large number of patients here, Cornea and Refractive, Glaucoma, Retina and Uvea, Oculoplasty and Squint and Pediatric Ophthalmology and Neuro Ophthalmology are to be established under super specialty. The institute will have 12 modular operation theaters and the bed capacity will be increased to 154. This will provide better medical study facilities to the students of the state and patients will get specialized treatment.

Amendment in Panchayati Raj Service Rules, hierarchy determined

The Cabinet has amended the rules of Bihar Panchayat Service Rules 2010. After this amendment, Block Panchayat Raj Officer will be a basic category post. The first promotion level of Block Panchayat Raj Officer will be as Lecturer, Head Sarpanch Training Institute or District Panchayat Raj Training Institute. His second promotional level will be as Additional District Panchayat Raj Officer or Additional Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad. The level of third promotion will be as District Panchayat Raj Officer cum Principal or Assistant Director, Mukhiya Sarpanch Training Institute, or District Panchayat Raj Training Institute or State Level Training and Research Institute.

Other decisions of the cabinet

The Cabinet has approved a scheme of Rs 37.83 crore for strengthening the district police forces of militancy affected districts. In this, 60 percent amount will be spent on central share and 40 percent amount will be spent on state share. It has been agreed to give state guarantee to Bihar State Cooperative Bank for taking loan of Rs. 8,000 crore from National Cooperative Development Corporation, NABARD and other financial institutions for the purchase of food grains in Kharif Marketing Season 2023-24 and Rabi Marketing Season 2024-25. The Cabinet has approved the cancellation of the dismissal order made as punishment to Darbhanga Additional District and Sessions Judge Ambika Prasad Gupta. Also, compulsory retirement with all consequential benefits has been approved from the date of dismissal.
