Palamu: The Excise Department took action in Palamu district of Jharkhand on Friday. During the raid, liquor worth about Rs 50 lakh was recovered from a house. The Excise Department has raided Chaukhada village on the side of Chhatarpur four lane road and recovered 1000 boxes of English liquor. This liquor is said to be worth more than Rs 50 lakh. A raid was conducted in a house under the leadership of Palamu Excise Superintendent Sudhir Kumar. During this, 1000 boxes of English liquor were recovered. Its price is said to be Rs 50 lakh. Palamu Excise Superintendent Sudhir Kumar said that secret information was received that liquor has been stored illegally in a house on a large scale. In the light of this information, the Excise Department raided the house of Manoj Yadav of Chaukhada village of Chhatarpur in Palamu district, from where a large quantity of liquor was recovered.
