Elephant killed farmer in Ranchi’s Bedo, got compensation from forest department – BollywoodWallah

Ranchi: Farmer Martu Munda (55) was crushed to death by an elephant on Saturday night in Khuratoli of Harhanji village of Bedo block. Apart from this, the crops growing in the fields were trampled. The villagers remained hiding in their homes out of fear. According to the family members of the deceased, Martu Munda had gone to search for his bull near Masna Darhagadha of Khuratoli village at around 11 pm on Saturday night. During this time the elephant caught him. After hitting him with the trunk, he was crushed with his foot, due to which he died on the spot. The Forest Department provided financial assistance of Rs 25,000 to the family of the deceased.

Elephant kills three people in Lalpania

An elephant that got separated from the herd killed three people in Lalpania area on Sunday morning. These include Suhani Hembram (24 years), wife of Ashok Kisku, resident of Chaliyatand (Tulbul), 64-year-old Shanu Murmu, resident of Banglatand (Kodwatand) and Manjari Devi, resident of Bank Mod Turi Tola.
