Electricity department gave relief to the victims of Kanpur fire, bill will not have to be paid till business starts

At present, the victim shopkeepers have been given relief on the bill from the Electricity Department. The traders had demanded from the Divisional Commissioner to give relief on the electricity bill. On which Divisional Commissioner Dr. Rajasekhar has held talks with Kesco MD. The Divisional Commissioner told that the bill will be waived till the connection starts from the day of the fire. Connection holders have to give a letter in the name of Kesco MD. The same he told that if a shopkeeper needs a temporary connection, then he will also be given, talks have also been held with Kesco MD regarding this. There will be no problem regarding this also.

Bill has to be paid for 36 units

Tell that according to the rules of the electricity department, if a connection holder does not use electricity. Even then he has to submit the bill of 36 units. Shopkeepers have about 450 commercial connections in the complex that caught fire. In such a situation, the shopkeepers have to pay a minimum bill of Rs.650. But after the fire incident, those traders will not have to pay this bill till the business starts. The Divisional Commissioner has waived off this bill after talking to Kesco MD.

Meters were issued without NOC

After the fire in the wholesale cloth market located in Bansmandi, the negligence of the electrical safety department on KESCO has come to the fore. Investigation revealed that KESCO had given 450 connections in these commercial complexes, in most of which NOC from the Electrical Safety Department was not taken. While no commercial and commercial connection can be given without NOC. This negligence has also increased from the level of KESCO.

Connection given after depositing challan

Officials of Electrical Security Department say that NOC is not being taken seriously in giving commercial connections on almost all divisions of KESCO. KESCO’s AI and XEN ask for NOC only on connections above 10 KW. Low load connections are being given only on receipt of treasury challan deposit in the State Bank of Electrical Security Department. On the other hand, Kesco MD Samuel Pal N says in the whole matter that information will be obtained about the commercial connections issued without the NOC of the Electrical Security Department. NOC will be sought in commercial and power connections if there is a deficiency in the investigation.
